adults available page updated!

We're   located in  Capac, Michigan, owning pets of color!! We are in love with all the many colors that this wonderful lil dog comes in. We are licensed and inspected regularly.

The minpin is a lively breed that comes in many wonderful colors.  There is the Black with rust or tan markings, the Chocolate with rust or tan markings, the Stag Red and the Red for a start.  These colors are the accepted colors of the Miniature Pinscher Club of America and what you will see in the conformation rings at dog shows.  BUT AKC also allows the Blue with rust or tan markings, the Rust (like a fawn doberman) and the Tan (a dilute red). You will also see blue stag as well in some litters!! All colors are accepted for obedience, agility, and rally to name a few things.  They ALL make wonderful pets and loving companions!

We will slowly be testing all our dogs for MPSV VI, and OFA'ing them as well.  This will be accomplished over the next year and we will post the results here for everyone to see as we get them back.  We've learned quite a bit and am applying what we have learned into out breeding program.

We were recently inspected by the American Kennel Club and have been found to be in compliance.  Our DNA's, kennel building, and condition of our dogs were inspected and found to be in compliance and in some cases above what AKC looks for in it's inspections..

There are several different registries.
American Kennel Club - The main registry in the U.S. and offers conformation, obedience, hunting etc., for you and your dog. They require DNA on males if used quite often, and there is talk of DNAing the females. That has been going around for a couple years now, so not sure when it will ever go into effect, but I think it would be a good idea.
United Kennel Club - The 2nd most popular registry and gaining more and more. They don't allow professional handlers, everyone has to be owner handled, which makes the playing field fair. They offer obedience, hunting, weight pulls, etc. The shows are pretty spread out right now but getting more popular with AKC backing the PAWS Proposal.
Canadian Kennel Club - Ranks up with the AKC as far as prestige. This is for Canadian residents.
Continental Kennel Club - this club accepts any dog, even mutts. It relies on breeders to say they are such and such breed. So a breeder can have an accidental breeding of 2 different breeds and register the litter as the one they closely resemble. CKC doesn't ask any questions. Many AKC members that have been suspended, usually more over to CKC. Suspended by AKC can be for falsifying papers, having a charge for abuse/neglect, or even for having your records not acceptable to them.
There are even more. Having AKC papers don't necessarily mean you have the best, but AKC is very strict on it's guidelines and with it's mandatory DNA, harder to falsify registrations. All registries have their own rules. Check out the registry before you buy your pup.

We will be DNA'ing our breeding females over the next several months to get EVERYONE here DNA'd to avoid any more gossip on this subject.  I don't understand how people that don't know anyone, never been to someone's house, can state such and such about them as if it's a fact.  I guess small minds need something to gossip about to make them feel important.

We are not a vet! Our vet is very good and takes good care of our dogs. The links we provide are only for information and by no means meant to replace a vet for your dog/puppy.  Some things are treatable w/out a visit, but some things are NOT.  Unfortunately, some vets see you coming and charge for non existent problems for the money and not for the well fare of the pet.  I'm lucky my vet loves his patients and researches problems he's not familiar with and gives me the very best care he can.

You can reach me by calling 810-395-9111

Note: We don't necessarily endorse any breeders that are in our links. We exchange links to help generate traffic.
